New York Cityscape - Mini Paper Cut

Here are some shots of the recently finished New York Cityscape paper cut.  I was privately commissioned to create a New York paper cut that incorporated some of the famous skyline and to condense it into just an A4 (210 x 297mm) piece of paper.  Lasercut limited editions will soon be available so please fell free to get in touch if you are interested.

New illustration commission - Dubai Cityscape

I recently worked with Ink Global to produce a paper sculpture for the cover of WIZZ Air in flight magazine. I was asked to capture some of Dubai's famous landmarks in paper sculpture form and to include a font that somehow visually related to the wording 'Dubai for less'. My solution was for the price tag around the Burj Khalifa building. The piece was constructed in layers that could be rearranged like a small set, which was then photographed.

Prototype Paper Bird

An early prototype paper bird for a new sculpture commission im working on. The piece is came together quickly after two day of playing around. The colours are do not reflect the what i will be using in the final piece, and are only there to provide contrast for the various sections that make up the bird. Just some remaking and refining to do then on the the final model. Watch this space!

Back From Beautiful Nepal!

Just got back from two weeks in Nepal. I spent most of the time trekking in the Annapurna sanctuary. I completed a 9 day trek to the Annapurna base camp, and was totally blown away by the beautiful and dramatic landscape. The pictures above are some of the shots i took while there. Expect to see some of this inspiring landscape appearing in my future works.

In celebration for Christmas and to complement their current exhibition, The First Cut, Manchester Art Gallery have commissioned me to create a winter themed installation in the atrium space of their beautiful gallery. The piece is inspired by ice formations such as icicles, ice caverns and frozen water falls. The work will be fully installed by the 5th of December, so come and take a look if you are near by!

Bringing Bellpenny's values to life

I recently worked with York based design agency The Beautiful Meme to produce a series of paper sculptures for Bellpenny, a new UK based IFA company. The brief was to take Bellpenny's brand values and translate them into something visual that would resonate with potential client. Take a look at the video to find out what i made.....
